The challenge

The project involved the requirement to implement a digital solution for inventory management in the warehouse and on the assembly line, in order to replace the daily manual stocktaking in the warehouse.

  • Replacement of daily inventory counts in the warehouse by introducing a warehouse management system
  • Digital process management for goods receipt and replenishment to the assembly line
  • Inventory write-off after withdrawal for assembly

The solution

moviniti warehouse enabled digital process management from goods receipt to provisioning at the assembly line. Additionally, the assembly line was connected to moviniti warehouse via an interface to automatically communicate withdrawals for assembly.

  • Implementation of the basic modules of moviniti warehouse within one week
  • Conducting a stocktaking to transfer current inventory levels
  • Setting up an area “clarification cases” of the type quality assurance, so that goods placed there are not counted as available stock
  • Automatic removal of parts from assembly via interface between the production line and moviniti
  • Daily export of inventory levels to Excel for submission to OEM
